(Plot) Kingsman: The Secret Service is based upon the comic book by Mark Millar, and depicts a veteran secret agent who leads a young protege into the world of espionage.
not well with the movie.
In fact, turns out that's not the case at all. Kingsman: The Secret Service is a surprisingly low-budget production, that's just been hunting for some room in the release schedules. The cut of the film we saw recently was 99% done, save for one or two upgrades to effects shot. We suspect Kingsman: The Secret Service may end up surprising a few people.
Not least fans of Colin Firth. As this trailer hints, he becomes something of an action star in director Matthew Vaughn's adaptation of Mark Millar and Dave Gibbons' comic book. The film focuses on what it takes to become a Kingsman, with Samuel L Jackson turning up as the villain of the piece. It's tinged with touches of James Bond, just James Bond with a lot, lot more violence.
A new trailer for the film has landed which explains some of this far better than we ever could. So best to leave you with that, and just remind you that Kingsman: The Secret Service is out at the end of January.
